Hi, I am new Here is my little question/rant: Whenever there is a new version I have this problem. I would like to get some input on 'The new version has been saved in your downloads director' message I can see in Filezilla once it is open and it has recognized there is a new version out there in the wild. As it never ever has a new version in the downloads folder, I might ask: WHY are the devs of Filezilla are doing it this way? The message is wrong. It is wrong, right? The file never IS and never has been in the downloads folder. It ends up being in the documents folder. (Or is it just me and my mac?) On top of that, when I click 'Install new version' in teh Filezilla screen, Filezilla just unpacks this new version to a new.zip file. Trying to open this zip-file ends up in NOTHING. There was a version where clicking on this zip-file, it unpacks the Filezilla Application. Which I have to manually drag into the applications folder. I guess I am doing something wrong here as Filezilla seems to be a big player in the online developer-world. ![]() But I can not get my head around presenting me this half backed annoying broken sh*t. When I press the button signed 'install update' it should do this. Just install the update, delete the old version, done. What have I done wrong that I see this not being easy as in any other software I am using? (every time I get the update message it reminds me that something is wrong with Filezilla or my way to handle Filezilla, so now I took my time to ask and hope I get a good answer or explanation.) Thanks in advance, Kainer. I'm having the same issue. All my FileZilla updates are by default downloaded and unpacked in my Documents directory. I want them to go to my Downloads directory. But I couldn't find a setting for this in the FileZilla app. So, I exported my settings and found this line in the xml: /Users//Downloads/ This is exactly what I want but am not getting. Was this feature not implemented in the latest update? Here's my About info: FileZilla Client ---------------- Version: 3.11.0.2 Build information: Compiled for: x86_64-apple-darwin14.3.0 Compiled on: x86_64-apple-darwin14.3.0 Build date: 2015-06-02 Compiled with: Apple LLVM version 6.1.0 (clang-602.0.53) (based on LLVM 3.6.0svn) Compiler flags: -g -O2 -Wall -g -std=gnu++11 Linked against: wxWidgets: 3.0.3 GnuTLS: 3.4.1 SQLite: 3.8.10.1 Operating system: Name: Mac OS X (Darwin 14.3.0 x86_64) Version: 10.10. Ok, I guess I'm fairly new to Mac, but this bothers me too. FileZilla says there is an update. 'Install new version'. It downloads and expands new version. I see a new file in the Documents folder (not Downloads for some reason). But the real problem - I double click this new file (er package), and it just opens a new instance of FileZilla - one that is updated I notice because it says it's the latest version when I check for updates there.
