With the Xbox One version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition coming August 25th, many assumed that the PC version would be available on the same day. Initially announced as an Xbox One exclusive, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition was later confirmed by Phil Spencer at the PC Gaming Show to be coming to PC with the bonus of being playable at 4K resolution.
While the PC Gaming Show at E3 was largely considered a bust, two of the biggest highlights came from the Head of Xbox, one of which involved the recently revealed Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Gears of War 4 is available now for PC and Xbox One.In the weeks leading up to E3 2015, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer promised that Microsoft would be committed to PC gaming moving forward, and so it was no surprise that he showed up during the first ever PC Gaming Show at E3. Alas, humans and their creations aren't infallible, so at least the Gears of War 4 developers seem to be on top of the title's lingering issues. Of course, if this were a perfect world, video games in this day and age wouldn't require patches after their releases.
